About
Sowaltree

Sowaltree is a project positioned at the intersection of philanthropy and social entrepreneurship, targeting agriculture and tourism, with ambitious sustainable development goals

It was born from a family’s desire to take action at their own level to sustainably preserve the environment, starting in Wallonia.

Its mission is to acquire and revitalize lands depleted by agricultural practices, with the aim of achieving a balance that is viable for everyone.

01
Acquisition

The SOWALTREE team relies on a network of experts to target the most suitable lands for the project’s development.

02
Implementation

An in-depth study of the existing environment is conducted in close collaboration with our partners, leading to precise interventions to achieve our goals. The restoration project is then implemented according to the specific characteristics of the land, relying as much as possible on local stakeholders.

03
Management

Once the interventions are completed:

  • The sites are managed as sustainably as possible to achieve our goals.
  • Surveys are conducted at regular intervals to precisely measure the impact of the actions taken, and these are shared annually with our partners.
  • Synergies are established with educational project leaders, with the aim of sharing the Sowaltree mission and raising citizen awareness.
