Over the years, the number of bird species observed during the nesting season fluctuated between 33 and 43. The spring of 2024 was particularly cold and rainy. Some species were not yet visible at the time of the ornithological survey.
The number of breeding pairs of key bird species has increased very significantly, reaching a peak in 2023: 5 pairs of Yellowhammer, 4 pairs of Red-backed Shrike, and 6 pairs of Stonechat. The planting of shrubs and the ongoing botanical diversification of the grasslands are expected to further increase the populations of these three species.
In total, 49 different bird species were recorded during the nesting season.
